We chose Superior Exterior Systems because they were by far the most professional company from start to finish. We had 5 companies come and give us estimates to redo the exterior of our 1950's bungalow which still had original cedar shake siding with layers of paint. Ricky Carlson was the most professional estimator by far. He came with literature about the product, tools for precise measuring on the day in order to give us the best idea of cost, explained the process in detail on that day, including lead paint removal protocol (and repeated the information at the contract signing), emailed the estimate in a timely fashion (other companies never followed up with their estimate), followed COVID 19 protocols, and he was engaging and personable. He and the other employees were understanding when our family experienced a death, which delayed the start of the project. They viewed us as people, not just a job. The crew was professional, communicated to us about any issues that arose, cleaned up each night, and worked around a snow/ice event. I highly recommend this family owned company who goes the extra mile.

Superior Exterior Systems did a great job on my siding installation project. From the first contact I had with them, through the bid process and contract details, through the removal of my old vinyl siding and installation of HardiePlank Lap Siding, through the painting and final walk-through, everyone at this company was friendly, professional, and expert in their role. I was looking at bids from multiple companies, and SES stood out as one of the most competitive on price -- but what ultimately won my business was their flexibility and great communication both with me and between the various roles within the company. Artie was endlessly patient with my many questions during the initial discussion phase and showed flexibility and creativity in solving problems as we hammered out the plan for my exterior remodel. Both he and Matt (my project manager) showed a willingness to resolve my every concern to make sure I was happy with the result. When I interacted with the company office, both Michelle and Alanna impressed me with their clear communication and friendly demeanor. This really is a quality operation; they're honest and they stand by their work. The crew who came out to do the installation were amazing, showing that same level of professionalism and customer orientation. Mark, who headed up the installation crew on site, went above and beyond to make sure we had shared vision about trim and other details around some of the "quirky" places on my older home. Of course, the quality of the workmanship was excellent -- SES is an Elite Preferred Hardie installer, and it shows! -- but where they really shine is in their communication and relationship style. Both the siding installation and the painting were completed ahead of schedule, and the couple of small change orders we did were negotiated generously and in good faith. After the painting was completed, Artie and Matt came back to install a couple of exterior fixtures as agreed, and Artie made sure I was happy with everything before accepting final payment. Like I said -- this is a quality operation. SES will absolutely be the first call I'll make, next time I need any kind of exterior updates.
