5 Fast Facts About James Hardie ColorPlus® Technology
So, why James Hardie ColorPlus Technology? Well, it’s advanced. Innovative. It’s not the easy-to-peel paint from the 80s or 90s. Instead, it’s carefully crafted in a controlled factory environment to ensure UV protection and consistent coating that won’t peel over time.
And best of all? It comes in hundreds of color options for a customized look that matches your style preference.
Applied In A Controlled Factory Environment
Hardie’s ColorPlus is baked right into the siding boards for even distribution. And it’s applied in a clean, controlled environment to eliminate dust and debris. As a result, you receive consistent coverage that will (predictably) look amazing and make your home the highlight of the neighborhood.
James Hardie Offers Over 700 Color Choices
That’s right – 700 options! But Hardie offers strategic color palettes and their Home Color Tool to help you find the perfect color. And, of course, our painting experts will help you choose the right shade as well.
UV Protected For Fade-Resistance
It’s inevitable – paint color fades. Right? Wrong. It doesn’t have to. James Hardie’s ColorPlus finish is specifically engineered to resist paint-damaging UV rays. As a result, your siding color stays just as fresh and vibrant on day 3,000 as it does on day one.
Multiple Layers For Full Protection
What makes James Hardie’s ColorPlus technology more resistant to damage? Multiple layers – not just one. After a primer is applied, a layer of paint is added and cured before adding the next layer. This means less maintenance and assurance against chips, peeling, and cracking.
30-Year Manufacturer Warranty
James Hardie’s ColorPlus warranty covers both the paint and the labor for 15 years, in addition to your 30-year non-prorated warranty for the board itself. Your warranty offers protection from peeling, cracking, and chipping. You can trust they’ll honor it. With exceptional customer service, you won’t have to jump through hoops to make a warranty claim with James Hardie.

With ColorPlus Customers Have To Say
Superior Exterior Systems is your best choice!
We have a small manufactured home near Amboy, WA. Superior Exterior Systems resided it with HardiePlank almost 3 years ago. Not a big job for them, but we were treated like we were their most important customer. Most jobs look awesome when they are new, but three years later, our siding is still in perfect shape. That is primarily because Chad and Michelle and their crews are so focused on quality and doing the job right the first time. We had lots of questions and we appreciated their attention and timely responses. We are very detail-oriented, and were pleased to discover they were as well. No item was too small to address. They cleaned up well each day. They stuck to their schedule and didn't pull off our job to do another. We are now about to sell our home and the beautiful siding is a definite selling point! If you want quality workmanship and a job that will last, Superior Exterior Systems is your best choice!
Excellent quality work and reliability!
We would choose them again for any work

How Does ColorPlus Technology Compare To Traditional Paint?
ColorPlus paint is “baked on.” That means they cure the paint to the James Hardie fiber cement for a strong bond. Essentially, the paint becomes one with the siding rather than simply adding an extra layer to it.
So, when it’s exposed to the tough Pacific Northwest weather, it doesn’t crack, chip, or peel. It LASTS.
